Kidepo valley is one of the Savannah parks in Uganda. KVNP is situated in north eastern Uganda bordered by Kenya in the East and one of the true wildness of Africa. Kidepo Valley can be reached by road or Air transport from Entebbe/ Kampala. Kidepo Valley National Park occupies 1442sqKm and suitable for filming.

Requirements for Filming in Kidepo Valley National Park

Media accreditation – the major requirement for foreign filmmakers to carry out filming activities in Uganda and Kidepo valley National park in particular. Every filmmaker need a media pass from Uganda media Council (UMC). At this stage, your ground film fixer has to be active to act on behalf of foreign filmmakers.

After a successful application and issuing of media card to each guest, you will also submit your application to the authorities of Kidepo Valley National Park. Crystal Film fixers will act on your behalf to do all the advance preparation.

Location permit for kidepo Valley national Park is obtained from Uganda wildlife Authority which is responsible for wildlife conservation in Uganda National Parks.

Other requirements include accommodation, security, transport, meals, filming equipment among others.
