Uganda tourism is focused on the landscape, drainage and wildlife. It is a major driver of employment, investment and foreign exchange, contributing to the widening of Uganda tax base. Uganda is by far developed her tourism sector to a larger extent though the sector experienced a horrible situation in 2020 covid-19 outbreak which shut down its operation for nearly a year.

Gorilla filming safaris – Uganda receives a large number of travelers purposely for Gorilla filming in Bwindi impenetrable National Park and Mgahinga Gorilla National Park. The two gorilla parks are visited on daily basis and over 20 habituated gorilla groups are ready for trekking. Chimpanzee filming tours – Chimp filming tours are conducted in Kibale National Park, Bundongo forest, Kalinzu forest, Kyambura Gorge and Toro- Semuliki game reserve. You can do chimpanzee trekking or Chimpanzee habituation in Kibale or Budongo Forest.
Wildlife filming tours – Uganda is gifted by a number of Savannah parks namely Kidepo Valley National Park, Murchison Falls National Park, Lake Mburo National Park, Semuliki National Park and Queen Elizabeth National Park. The savanna type of vegetation enable game viewing drives and filming
Boat filming tours – Boat filming tours targets water loving birds, animals and drainage features among others. Bird filming trips -Uganda is one of the Important Bird Areas (IBA) in Africa. Major birding areas include Kazinga channel, Lake Bunyonyi, Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, Lake Victoria islands, Mabira forest, Mgahinga Gorilla National Park, Kibale National Park among others. While on Uganda birding tour, expect to capture pictures of Shoe bills, Ostrich, saddle – billed stork, Goliath heron and so on.
